My professional background is in the Chemical and Rubber industries. My career started with a mid-sized chemical company in Cleveland Ohio, I was involved with all aspects of the logistics footprint of the company. I transitioned to a role in a large rubber company headquartered in northeast Ohio. I spent most of my career working in transportation and warehousing with a focus on service, costs and determining strategies to accomplish the goals of the organization.
The people I worked with were top notch and together we faced many challenges that required effective solutions to be implemented on time and under budget.
Ultimately, I was responsible for a $600 million budget associated with all modes of transportation and logistics. I was the physical logistics lead in a very effective Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP) team and numerous other highly visible projects that resulted in high functioning systems and processes.
